Card grading, authentication, and certification services

Six main service lines for collectors and dealers worldwide — all handled in-house at our New Hampshire facility with comprehensive documentation.

Card Grading
Assessment of card condition on a 1–10 scale with centering, corners, edges, and surface sub-grades. Includes high-resolution archival photos and a QR-based digital certificate.
- Numeric scale from 1 to 10 with half points
- CCES sub-grades for every card
- High-resolution front & back archival photos
Card Authentication
Verification of card authenticity without numeric grading. Focuses on detecting reprints, trimming, recoloring, and other alterations.
- Inspection of print, material, and cut
- AUTHENTIC / AUTHENTIC ALTERED / QUESTIONABLE results
- Digital certificate with a unique number
Autograph Authentication
Verification of signatures on cards, photos, or memorabilia using a comparative approach against reference samples.
- Comparative analysis of pressure and writing patterns
- Provenance documentation if available
- Special labels for autographed cards
Reholder Service
Replacement of cracked, heavily scratched, or damaged slabs without the need for a full re-grade. The old grade is maintained if the card condition remains unchanged.
- New tamper-evident slab
- New certificate number with reference to the old certificate
- Re-verification of card condition
Crossover Service
For cards already graded by other services. Cards are re-examined and a KZA certificate is issued if they meet the requested minimum grade threshold.
- Set the desired minimum grade
- The old slab is not opened if the minimum grade is not met
- Lower cost compared to full grading
Review Service
Re-evaluation by senior graders for cards already certified by KZA if you feel the grade is incorrect. The grade can go up, down, or stay the same.
- Reviewed by a different grader
- The senior grader's decision is final
- Change history is recorded in the audit log
